• The U Street Upgrade project has been been separated into two (2) phases of construction, resurfacing and reconstruction.  Resurfacing work will be between 9th Street to 14th Street.  Reconstruction work will be between 14th Street and Florida Avenue.
• Resurfacing work will be re-advertised December 2011.  Reconstruction work is scheduled to be advertised Fall 2012.
• U Street NW recieves a gold star from the American Planning Commission’s “Great Places in America” program.
